Landrover Freelander 2 ( LR2 ) + Free Airbag Tool

Most Freelander 2 models are fitted with leather steering wheels which is very nice but there seems to be a problem with many of the Freelander 2 steering wheels and they are starting to crack and wear especially on the upper section that is exposed to the sun.

These wheels are made from Polyurethane and have a leather finish on them - and 95 of people will not be able to tell the difference between PU and leather.

There are 2 main advantages of these PU wheels

a) They are much cheaper than the leather versions - the leather ones are around £400

b) They are much more durable than the leather versions.

For some reason the steering wheels on the Freelander 2 are different from the Range Rover Sport and Discovery 3 models even though they use the same airbag / steering wheel switches and look the same externally.

Also included in this sale is a FREE airbag removal tool that you need to remove the airbag - see below instructions.

On the Freelander 2 models there is hexagonal center spline whilst on the Range Rover Sport and Discovery models there is a multi spline center ( see pictures )

This sale is just for the steering wheel core - the switches shown and the airbag are not included in the sale - if your have more or less switches on your steering wheel this wheel will still accept your switch packs and airbag as all steering wheels cores were the same on all models.

This steering wheel is a genuine Landrover Steering Wheel

This item is not exchange - we don't need your old wheel back.

If you would like to return your old wheel to us we will enclose a freepost label for you to do so - we can then refurbish this for resale rather than throw it in the bin.

Fitting Details

Fitting guidance can be provided but some experience of working on cars is needed to fit this item.

This item WILL fit all Freelander 2 models.

This item WILL NOT fit a Range Rover Sport ( centre splines are different )

This item WILL NOT fit a Discovery 3 ( centre splines are different )
