Adaptor Kit to Fit Range Rover Sport & late L322 Wheels (06 on)

onto Landrover Discovery 2 / TD5

This kit comprises of 20 x wheel nuts and 4 x hub adaptor rings ( also called spigot rings ) to enable you to fit late L322 and Range Rover Sport wheels to the Landrover Discovery 2 TD5 ( 1998 on )

If you want to fit 2002 -2005 Range Rover wheels to your Disco 2 see our other items as this kit won't be suitable.

The following vehicles all have the same PCD and number of studs so wheels can be swapped between these vehicles as long as you have the correct fitting kit.

In addition to the same stud pattern these vehicles all have the same wheel stud thread. So what is to stop you just buying a set of these wheels and bolting them on your Disco 2 ? Well 2 things mainly....

1) The wheel nuts are different ( the big change is the diameter of the wheel nut where it locates on the wheel ). This kit includes 20 x wheels nuts that fit the standard Range Rover sport wheels. These wheels nuts have a diameter of 22.5mm. If you are not sure which wheel nuts you need for your wheels then you need to measure the diameter of the wheel nut hole. If the diameter of the wheel nut hole is 20mm then you need the early type nuts, if it is 23mm then you need the later type nuts ( this listing is the later type nut )

2) Central hub diameters are different. All wheels are supposed to located securely on the central hub for maximum safety - this ensure the wheels are central and stops the wheel nuts taking too much of the load. The hub diameter on the L322 and sport is larger than Disco 2 so you need to fit these inserts into the central hole on your L322/sport wheels before fitting them to a Disco 2. The inner diameter of these rings is 70.1mm and the outer diameter is 72.6mm. These rings are made from aircraft grade aluminium and have a anodised finish to prevent corrosion.

Remember you will need to get a new wheel brace as the head on these nuts need a 22mm socket.

Fitting Details

Place the new wheels face down on some card and insert the spigot rings to the inside of the new wheel. It is advisable to use an adhesive like "Loctite stud and bearing fix" or similar to prevent the spigot rings from coming out when you change your wheels. Insert the spigot ring so it is flush with the rear surface of the wheel.

Apply some copper grease to the wheel threads and also the inner surface of the spigot ring to make wheel changes easier in future.

Fit the new wheels to the car with the new wheel nuts - checking that the wheel nuts are matched to the wheels ( the wheel nuts should fit easily into the wheel nut hole but with minimal free play).

Which Vehicles will this fit ? 

This item WILL fit allow you to fit wheels from a Range Rover Sport /L322 06on onto a Discovery 2 / TD5 ( 1998 - 2005 ).

This item WILL NOT allow you to fit L322 02 -05 on wheels to your Discovery 2 ( these use the early wheel nuts with flat ends).
